Demon Effigy

Amphibians must have played a special role in the spiritual life of these people (as attested by another amphibian deity in this exhibition). In this case, the figure has been identified as a demon on account of its intense facial expression, portraying an emotion of despair - probably a reaction to the final moments of this civilization.
