Ritual Wand

Simple, yet remarkably elaborate on the inside, this small cylinder - of which many have been found - was probably a wand used in everyday rituals. The presence of a hardened, dark substance near the tapered tip suggests it may have been dipped in anointing oil or sacred resin during minor rites, perhaps used by the devotee to trace protective geometries or symbols in the air during prayer.
